Lady Whistleblower Dearest Gentle Reader,
It has been said that, “Summer is the annual permission slip to be lazy. To do nothing and have it count for something. To lie in the grass and count the stars. To sit on a branch and study the clouds.” And while this is certainly true, this author would like to warn against complacency when it comes to our Kingdom just because it’s summer.
And with that, let us dive right in, shall we?
Temper! Temper!
The latest bombshell news is that just prior to the King being hired at FedHock, he was arrested for disorderly conduct. He literally got into a fight with someone over a parking spot. Rather than belabor his unsuitability for the position, at the very least temperamentally which we have covered ad nauseum, this author has so many questions!
- Was the King’s hiring at Marietta rescinded, not because he took the job at FedHock, but because they found out about their new principal’s arrest?
- Did the King disclose this arrest to our “bored”? If not, did anyone know about it before hiring him? And if so, who?
- If the “bored” didn’t know, is concealing this fact enough to fire him? Certainly, according to sources, the King plied the “bored” with multiple untruths about his other past legal issues. Unfortunately, our “bored” was at best, extremely naive to believe him or at worst, incredibly incompetent in vetting him. Unfortunately both of these cases ended up with us hiring him – FOR FOUR YEARS. (Seriously – this author will keep hammering this home until the “bored” wakes up from making these truly shitty decisions. They snuck in an extension of King David’s contract without talking to anyone, and they hired our last IT coordinator for three years – and he didn’t know how to forward an email address.)
We do know that the King never reported this to the Ohio Department of Education, which he was required to do, but given the state’s inefficiency, this author strongly doubts they will do anything about it.
Go Fund The King’s Narcissism?
It also came to light (because seriously do issues around this guy ever end?) that the King started a $10,000 GoFundMe page because his “childhood home” was “utterly destroyed by their previous tenants.” (Note: it was not – at least from the photos posted. Gross, yes. Utterly destroyed, no.)
But this begs the question…the King made over $157,000 last year. He was able to purchase another property to be used as a rental. He obviously has multiple homes. In his plea for funds, he says, “We are turning to our community, friends, and anyone with a compassionate heart to help us…” This is rich, given the fact that this person hasn’t shown any sort of compassion to anyone here – like ever. Remember teachers and students begging to be allowed to grieve the DEATH of one of our own and he refused? (And his recollection of the incident is that was when everything went bad for him?)
This is certainly the moment that this author would like to use a spate of very unladylike words towards him. I only ask that you take a moment to imagine what a truly unbridled rant this lady would like to unleash upon him!
Please Go Fund Your Narcissism elsewhere. And maybe, purchase insurance next time? Or vet your future tenants better? (And “bored” please vet our next King or Queen better too!)
In any case, should the “bored” actually stand up to the King, perhaps he would have plenty of time to clean up his childhood home. Win-win, I say!
All The King’s (Wo)Men?
In hiring rumors, it has been said that the King wants to engage bestie, Friski Larker, to replace Shamblin – this, after Friski lost her position as Queen of Morgan County, our neighboring kingdom. And remember the person that he claimed to be a “white knight” for? Yeah, that was Friski. Perhaps Friski thinks that if the King leaves, she can move herself into another cushy, spend-all-the-money-irresponsibly, royalty position like she had at Morgan County.
We absolutely know that Friski will continue the berating of staff and students since that is exactly the kind of person the King wants in that position. If the “bored” does this, then it would not be a surprise if the community showed up with REAL torches and pitchforks, instead of metaphorical ones. This would be a signal that the “bored” has abdicated any real responsible stewardship of this Kingdom.

Where is our beloved high school secretary? Little to no word has been leaked to the community about this situation. Again, this author is concerned about what happens in the summer.
Also, were rumors of Shamblin fighting for his position overblown? This author wonders if there could be more legal shenanigans in the “bored’s” future.
While it is tempting to claim that there was a plot for the King to bring in Friski all along, his persecution of Shamblin started well before she lost her position at Morgan. Unfortunately, that does not mean that the King won’t try his best to hire another horrible person to continue his persecution of faculty, staff, and children.
What’s Next?
There is another monthly “bored” meeting this month. It is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17 @6PM. The district calendar says that the location is Amesville Elementary.
Please please please – do not get complacent just because it is the summer. TRADITIONALLY all kinds of questionable decisions have been made during the summer while everyone is distracted by vacations and summer activities. If you believe that what is going on is important, your attention cannot falter just because school is not in session. Important decisions are being made NOW for next school year.
In Closing
The entire purpose of this author’s campaign, so to speak, was to bring light to some of the things that had been hidden. People are often not thankful to be yanked from the comfort of their superficial complacency, but it has been most gratifying that this author’s cause has been taken up by so many – and by such competent citizens in this community.
Our children are the reason that this is so important. This outpouring of support for our kids, staff, and our schools has brought this author to tears.
