Dearest Gentle Reader,

It has been said that before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others. If this is true, then one could deduce that our School Bored is a dismal failure.

Take the leader of the Bored, Kerlores Dumbridge-Void, our very own Queen of Hearts. If one looks past her penchant for always trying to decapitate, metaphorically speaking, anyone she perceives to be an enemy (and everyone is the enemy!) she seems to have zero to little notion of what growing others even means. In fact, analyzing the Queen of Hearts’ actions and reactions over the years have proven that she, in fact, seeks to burn down the Kingdom. For how else might one interpret her shortsightedness, her lack of understanding, or her hypocrisy? In her desire for recognition, she believes that undoing everything that the Kingdom has accomplished in the last thirty or so years, means that she will be enshrined in some sort of FedHock version of Madame Tussauds. Note to the Queen – wax melts. Or does she believe that she is actually doing good works and saving her seat in yet a greater Kingdom? Unfortunately, the Queen’s fury at those who would otherwise thwart her uneducated and backwards opinions ultimately derails anything that would be done for the good of our children. Instead, the Queen’s emphasis seems to be more about her own social self-promotion as the leader of the Kingdom’s Mean Girls Club.

But what about the rest of the School Bored? It seems that they are literally her ladies in waiting. Stan Abhorrence, who came in with all of the bluster of winter, because obviously, winter was coming, is now on his way out due to tragic circumstances. Pester Brown hasn’t really been present at a bored meeting in ages. Princess Broommeadow has sadly been trod upon. Whenever she asks questions for information or simply for clarity, the Queen clearly holds her in disregard by openly rolling her eyes and sneering at her. And the last lady in waiting is so invisible, that no one even seems to know her name. She is simply another body in the court where everything is deferred to the Queen’s ambitions.

So it is no wonder then, that this Bored would take the easiest route to crowning our current monarch, His Royal Meathead (HRM) King Spinster. Was it too much to ask that they work diligently to find the right type of King to lead the Kingdom from its already precipitous state due to the failure of the abysmal King David? In the eyes of many, there seemed no way to go but up. Yet once again, our Bored has asked us to hold their ales.

Leadership is the capacity to transform vision into reality. Unfortunately for us, the Queen’s vision is that of a dystopian hellscape which can only be escaped by leaving the Kingdom altogether. And while she may not be smart enough to actually plan this thing, nonetheless, this house of cards is collapsing before our very eyes.

How then can the Kingdom be saved? It seems a bleak and weary prospect given all of the incompetence and vitriol at the top. This author can only wonder at it while our children and staff suffer.

Yours Truly,
Lady Whistleblower
